Knox, an FBI agent, is tasked with investigating a series of missing persons reports. When she travels to Arizona to follow a lead, it takes her and her partner to a Native American reservation located in a remote part of the desert, deep within a valley, but upon arrival she quickly realizes something is awry. The town is abandoned, without a soul in sight. In this adventure game, play as Agent Knox and unravel the mystery of the valley.

Voice of the Valley is a short, suspenseful, horror game developed by a team of 8 people for Scream Jam 2024.

Included this in my 3 random horror game video!

For being made for a gamejam this was quite solid! Story was superb and the gameplay was pretty good. Made a video on it.

Hey, thanks for including us in your video! It’s super fun seeing someone playing and having fun with our game!

This was great! I played the original version as well as after the bug fix, and I have to say you guys did super well. The level design was great - really good visual queues to guide players, solid use of valves to keep progression natural, and a solid jump scare when the ground gave out!

I also really appreciated the quality of the voice acting, as well as the overall aesthetic you went for.

Well done!

Hey thanks so much for playing our game :) yours was excellent too! I am really glad you liked what we put together. Our team worked super hard on it.

Of course! Playing all of the cool games is what these things are about :)

I can really see all of the effort too! You’ve got a great team!

this is way too good my guy, but since i've never worked in a team so i don't really know if this is much work or not, but as much as i see it's epic. the retro artstyle is really good and fits really well, but some voice acting lines weren't that great. anyway, really good game and gl for the prize, i can definitely  see this winning.

and i just remembered to say if you could rate my game (please be nice this is my first game jam)

Congrats on finishing your first game jam! Thanks for the high praise! It was a group effort, and everyone on the team worked really hard on it. I'll definitely go ahead and give your project a try! Making games is never easy so well done on finishing your first jam!

Hey Austen Kinney! You have a really interesting retrostyle! it looks really good! would you like to collaborate?

Hey! I just want to point out that I am just one of a team of 8 developers that worked on this game. In fact my role was largely programming focused so the visual style was a group effort, and while my shaders do affect the visual style, it can largely be attributed to our artists Katsvmi and Xolomojo. But thanks for the offer I will keep it in mind for future projects. Your retro horror sound pack seems really high quality.

Thanks a lot! Got it you all did a great job on this project if any of you guys are interested for any future or current project let me know! Good luck :)
